Civic President's MESSAGE
If you missed the April meeting, you need to come on May 14 <x-apple-data-detectors://10> to get the full story in the meeting minutes. We hosted DuWayne Sipper, founder and CEO of The Path. He told us how he was inspired to create their program, his months of research, and the many steps that have brought The Path to their upcoming expansion with the old Beverly Hills Motel. After the meeting, I signed up for The Path's fresh produce co-op. WOW, a huge haul of fresh, organically grown veggies farmed by The Path clients.
May's meeting will bring Diane Toto of the We Care Pantry. We encourage you to bring a donation of non-perishable food, or a monetary donation. A donation of $25 will provide 200 meals to the underprivileged in Citrus, Marion, Sumter, and Hernando counties.
In June just before we take a two month break, we'll hear from Amy Meek from United Way of Citrus County.
Lastly, on May 5 <x-apple-data-detectors://12> , we're having our Fashion Show luncheon and tea to benefit the Citrus County Youth Symphonic Orchestra. Our own Civic Association members will model the latest fashions from The Cotton Club <x-apple-data-detectors://13> . Please contact Louise Mathis to reserve your seat. Tickets are only $15.
Don't forget to send in your Civic Association dues of $15.00 per household.
