Attached is the 2021 Citrus County Residential Paving list plans.
You will see a couple of streets on here that our Pine Ridge. We are working to try to get other streets added if all possible.
The determination of which roads are chosen is done by the rating of the street and the density of the residents on those streets.
To see the rating of your street use the address lookup here to see its rating – https://gis.citrusbocc.com/address-lookup.html
Just wondering what needs to be done or how to get W Gypsum Dr on the list.
It is rate 7- Poor last rated on 8/30/2019, which was almost 2 years ago.
It will be re-rated this year and hopefully, a determination for the next cycle will include this and others.
Thank you,
Gail
Thanks for providing this information, Gail. If I read this correctly Citrus Springs is getting 26 roads repaved; Floral City 35; Crystal River 30 and Pine Ridge gets 2 very small roads repaved?! (W Sailors Haven Ct and W Douglas Fir Circle)
If the repaving in communities is chosen based on housing density it almost seems as if Pine Ridge is being penalized for having larger lots and paying more in property taxes. A road like N Bedstrow Blvd could be waiting years for repaving, especially if they only choose 2 small roads to repave per year in Pine Ridge.
Seems like the Citrus BOCC could come up with a better allocation method of resources that would be more rotational by area and also consider traffic patterns.
Lena seems like a really good road to pave. Jars your teeth. It would make sense to pave a road often uses. I do not live on or off Lena.
Thank you for your comment.
Gail
ANOTHER SHORT STRETCH OF ROAD THAT NEED ATTENTION:
CHEYENNE FROM PINERIDGE BLVD TO W CORRAL, MAYBE A BIT FURTHER
Thank you for your comment.
