Governor DeSantis Announces $7 Million for Citrus County Springs Restoration
The October 29, 2026, edition of the Citrus County Chronicle linked here eatured an article about Governor Ron DeSantis announcing $7 million in funding for springs restoration in Citrus County.
President John Hyde and Secretary Diane Middleton-South were present, representing Pine Ridge and networking on behalf of our residents. They had an opportunity to listen to the Governor discuss issues important to our community while learning what we could about ongoing and future funding opportunities for Citrus County, particularly anything that might benefit Pine Ridge.
While the article covered the funding announcement, it left out another interesting announcement attributed to the Governor.
On October 27, 2026, Governor DeSantis reportedly signed an Executive Order declaring John Anderson’s 1992 country hit, “Seminole Wind,”Florida’s new State Anthem.
