Garden Club Meeting Reminder – June 17th 6:00 PM

Please join the Pine Ridge Garden Club for an informative program titled, “It’s for the Birds – Native Landscapes for Feathered Friends”, presented by Athena Phillips, from the Citrus Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society. Birds can be a fun part of our landscapes. Come learn what species you may see and what you can do to make them feel at home.

Our Did You Know for this month is titled, “Controlling Pests in The Garden”. If you would like to sign up to do a 5-10 minute, Did You Know talk about something of interest to you concerning plants or something in our environment, please write down you name and contact information on the sign-up sheet when you enter the Community Center during our meetings.

As usual, the Garden Club and its members will be sharing free gardening literature, plants, and seeds. If you are bringing plants or seeds to give away, please label them and place them in plastic bags to keep our Community Center clean. No plants or seeds listed on the Invasive Plant Species List are allowed, so please do your research before sharing any plants or seeds. Plants used solely as “house plants” may be exempt from this rule, but please label them, “House Plants Only”.

The people who bring plants to share would be very appreciative if you would recycle your small sized plastic pots by bringing them to our meetings so that we may share more plants with you. Thank you.

Doors open at 5:30 PM, program begins at 6:00 PM.
