The county just released the 2026 Pavement Management Work Plan, and there’s good news for Pine Ridge. A little over 28 miles of our roads will receive treatment or resurfacing in the coming months. The map below shows which roads will receive work – red segments highlight where work will be done. There is also a tabular list of the roads along with the types of treatment they will receive. The county expanded the range of pavement treatments it uses to preserve, rehabilitate, and reconstruct our roads. In Pine Ridge, we will see 5 different types of treatments under this work plan:
- Asphalt Rejuvenator – Protects newer roadways and preserves their condition before significant aging or deterioration occurs.
- Single-Layer Surface Treatment with Crack Sealing – Combines targeted crack sealing with a protectivesurface treatment.
- Milling and Paving – Removes worn asphalt and replaces it with a new driving surface.
- Multi-Layer Surface Treatment – A two-step process that starts with a structural sealing layer then, after a curing period, follows with a second layer of a granite aggregate riding surface.
- Full Depth Reclamation with Multi-Layer Surface Treatment – A full rebuild that includes reconstruction of the base along with the multi-layer surface treatment.
