Turnpike extension kick-off meeting The Florida Turnpike Extension Project No. 14480 is in the planning stages. This is not to be confused with the Suncoast Parkway.
There are four possible routes under consideration. The first two options are of no concern, as I believe they have been or will be ruled out due to environmental impacts.
Option three and four would bring it through the community between Hampshire Boulevard and West Citrus Springs Boulevard.
Initial kickoff meeting, it is being held Dec. 9 at 5:30 p.m. at the College of Central Florida, Citrus Campus, 3800 S. Lecanto Highway, Lecanto and can be attended virtually.
